DIAMOND KITE
Who is the kite ideal for?
BK – The kite is ideal for women who are looking for an all-around kite that’s smooth and fun to ride. Designed for women, this is a kite to freeride, wave ride and perfect to start a good progression on freestyle, learn to unhook and make controlled pops. I feel that women are no longer looked at as “beginners”. They are looking for the same performance as men, but in a product that is designed specifically for our body types.
What size kite is best for me?
BK – A female rider from 55kg to 62kg with a 130 or 133 Diamond board is going to look towards something like this for the wind range.
It is best to speak with your retailer or school to get a better idea of recommendations as conditions vary based on location and style of riding.
5.5m – 22 to 33 knots
7m- 18 to 28 knots
9m- 15 to 26 knots
12m- 11 to 22 knots
What is the feeling of the kite when ridden?
BK – It’s a smooth kite, easy-going, you can relax and enjoy riding without having to worry about the kite, what’s doing and if it’s dragging you around. With great response you tell it, it does it.
All this technology and development means that women are now on an even playing field as men and are getting the best riding experience possible.
What are the advantages of this bar?
BK – The bar follows the line’s concept to design a gear specifically for women, equipment compatibility is extremely important, that’s why we also have the Diamond bar. It has a shorter depower strap for easier reach, thinner diameter for a better grip for smaller hands and a smaller chicken loop to avoid the accidental unhook experience.
DIAMOND BOARD
What size is good for me?
BK – In years of riding I found that the 133 cm is the best size to balance out a good landing and upwind qualities without compromising my rotations by being too big. The board was developed towards a woman’s height, size, and weight. That varies a lot from men so that’s a key item from the range. It’s a fast board, with a lot of control and with a bit more flex. It gives you pop and quick response for a comfortable ride in any condition.
DIAMOND GRAPHICS
Why the diamond?
BK – I believe the diamond represents women in a unique way, it may look like a fragile and beautiful stone but it’s also the strongest one. I think women can be like that in many ways, to be beautiful and feminine and at the same time show a unique strength and determination.
What were the graphics influenced by?
BK – The logo came out from my diamond tattoo, I did it in Barcelona about 2 years ago because of the meaning of the diamond to me. In kiteboarding that’s the message, I’ve always wanted to send, to be a rider that is feminine, has grace on the water, but also a strong core, riding with power.
The best part of the Diamond line is that performance lives up to its good looks!
